2000 Renaissance Prize Winners

In the year 2000, approximately 79 students were certified by a faculty committee as Renaissance Scholars. All, in the words of the committee, “were extremely accomplished." They had grade point averages of 3.5 to 4.0, with widely varied academic program combinations. For example, one had a double major in French and health policy with a neuroscience minor, another a double major in theater and business. Of the 79 who received the Renaissance Honor at commencement, 55 competed for the $10,000 Renaissance Scholar Prize. The faculty committee recommended the following 14 students:
