As part of her visit to USC to deliver a lecture as part of the Munushian Visiting Seminar Series, Professor Mildred Dresselhaus met with WiSE faculty members and graduate students to discuss successful efforts to increase the representation of women in science and engineering fields.
Professor Dresselhaus is a pioneer scientist who rose to the top at a time when women were not welcome in science and engineering, has raised a family, is an accomplished violinist, and has been a WiSE activist in all arenas ranging from MIT to the American Physical Society, DOE and the National Academies. Members of the USC WiSE community were delighted with the opportunity to talk with her.
