Susan Forsburg Named 2007 AWIS Fellow

Susan Forsburg, Professor of Molecular and Computational Biology at USC, has been named a 2007 Fellow of the Association for Women in Science and Engineering (AWIS).

The ten women and men of the Class of 2007 were recognized on February 18th, 2007, at an Award Ceremony held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in San Francisco.

The AWIS Fellows Program recognizes and honors women and men who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to achievement of equity for women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Since the first cohort of Fellows in 1996, AWIS has selected 119 Fellows.

Professor Forsburg was cited "for exemplary mentorship through her laboratory, institution, and award-winning world-wide website."
