Six New WiSE Faculty Join the USC College in 06-07
The WiSE program welcomes six new faculty members hired in the USC College to campus this year! With their addition, the total number of WiSE faculty has more than doubled since the implementation of the WiSE program in 2000, from fifteen (twelve in USC College, three in Viterbi School of Engineering) to thirty-five (twenty-three in USC College and twelve in Viterbi School of Engineering).
The new faculty in the USC College include:

- Liang Chen, Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences (Molecular and Computational Biology)
- Xuelin Wu, Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences (Molecular and Computational Biology)
- Katrina Edwards, Associate Professor of Biological Sciences (Marine Environmental Biology)
- Karla Heidelberg, Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences (Marine Environmental Biology)
