Our Programs
WiSE administers a variety of grant programs aimed at faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate students, as well as high school and middle school girls. These programs have been developed to encourage women to select USC as an institution in which to study, conduct research, and develop successful careers.
In order to be eligible for WiSE awards, students must be enrolled full-time and faculty must hold appointments in a WiSE-eligible department. WiSE-eligible departments include the departments of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Industrial and Systems Engineering in the Viterbi School of Engineering and the departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics & Astronomy in the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences.
WiSE is eager to support student activities that serve to increase the involvement of women in science and engineering. If you would like to develop an activity that involves undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral students please send a brief proposal and an estimated budget to the WiSE Program Office at wiseprog@usc.edu.
