Resources

WiSE Programs exist in a variety of forms at institutions around the country, from small student groups to national initiatives such as the National Science Foundation's Advance Program. The links in the this section provide background on the issues and topics relevant to the status of women in science and engineering, web sites and activities of other WiSE programs, as well as direction to resources on campus that share the WiSE Program's commitment to fostering gender equity in science and engineering at USC.

WiSE Office as a Liaison for Information

WiSE is eager to assist students in finding information on the USC Campus related to course advisement, research opportunities, and assistance with preparation for graduate studies. Though the WiSE Program cannot provide academic advisement itself, the office can serve as a liaison between students and research active faculty members who are best able to provide advice about academic programs in a given area. With specific reference to preparation for graduate school, WiSE faculty may be able to assist students with their essays and provide coaching for the interview process. For assistance identifying a mentor, interested students should contact the WiSE Program Office at 213-821-4400 or wiseprog@usc.edu.
