(Site Under Construction)
USC Web Services has moved the PIRQÉ RABBI ELIEZER ELECTRONIC TEXT EDITING PROJECT to its new infrastructure. As previously noted, in preparation for this, I have made several changes to this website, mainly simplifying it and reducing the number of documents it contains. The basic content of HUC PRE manuscripts and articles has not been changed. Again I want to express my thanks to the USC Web Services, for guidance and technical help in this transition. The new address for this project is: pre-project.usc.edu. Please note that it is now active. To see Hebrew fonts properly, please set your browser viewing Encoding to UTF-8. Lew
The Pirqé R. Eliezer Electronic Text Editing Project acknowledges with gratitude the help of Dr. David Gilner , Director of Libraries, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, for arranging for the digitization of the first edition and two manuscripts for this project. Thanks also to Dr. Howard Sachar, Manager, Image Applications, and his entire staff at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, for the digitization of the first edition for research purposes.
Additional acknowledgements to many individuals and institutions who have provided resources or advice on this project will be added to this web site.
Special thanks to the University of Southern California, for making this project site available.
