Occupational Science Research

Everyday activities have an enormous impact on health for people from birth to old age. Original research into how engagement in meaningful activities impacts health and translation of this research into practical interventions have been hallmarks of the division's distinguished history. Five innovative research clusters were established in recognition of the unique strengths and diverse pursuits of inquiry within occupational science. Each cluster includes senior scientists with established records of productivity, junior scientists who are further honing their research skills, and students who are embarking on the research journey. Such inter-generational communities of focused inquiry create a rich medium, cultivating innovative research and the growth of future scholars.
