Grant Opportunities and Proposal Development in the Humanities
Who Should Attend
The program is recommended for all faculty members who work in the humanities and humanities-affiliated disciplines, and particularly for assistant professors and recently tenured associate professors.
Course Description
This program will be devoted to strategies that can be used to seek external funding in the humanities, and social sciences that have some connection to the humanities. The primary focus will be on the identification of suitable agencies and the crafting of the application, with particular attention on the narrative component of the proposal. The program will concentrate on preparing individual proposals for agencies such as the National Endowment for the Humanities, the American Council of Learned Societies, and residential research libraries.
