Faculty Cluster Recruitments

Download Description and Application Information.

Overview

The University of Southern California is seeking to hire outstanding senior scholars to provide leadership for its university-wide research initiative in biomedical nanoscience.

We wish to hire faculty who are innovative, entrepreneurial, and interdisciplinary leaders with a clear vision for the most exciting future research in nanoscience that contributes to human health. Faculty may apply either as individuals or as groups, within any of the university's schools. We are particularly interested in hiring faculty who can think boldly and work in non-traditional ways to bridge research across disciplines.

The area of research within each initiative is open, but it should span multiple disciplines and should provide opportunities for a unique contribution to both scholarship and society. We are particularly interested in groups that can think boldly and work in non-traditional ways to bridge research across disciplines. Groups should also look for synergies with the existing faculty and initiatives at USC.

In addition to this senior-level university-wide cluster recruitment, several departments are actively recruiting faculty in the following specializations to support the initiative:

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, the University of Southern California is one of the world's leading private research universities. Participants in the biomedical nanoscience initiative span the university, and include Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, the High Performance Computing Center, the Center for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, the Biomimetic MicroElectronic Systems Center, the Information Sciences Institute, the Center for Electron Microscopy and Microanalysis and the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute.
