The Graduate School Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony
Held the day before the Main Commencement Ceremony, the Hooding Ceremony is a prestigious event at which Ph.D. candidates receive special recognition. Each candidate will receive the hood, symbolizing conferral of the Ph.D. degree, from his or her dissertation chairperson. The 2009 Ph.D. Hooding was our most successful ever, with about 290 students and 180 faculty participating.

- Ph.D. candidates who expect to graduate in December 2009 or in May or August 2010
