Graduate Student Services Collaborative (GSSC)
The Graduate Student Services Collaborative consists of graduate administrators from all academic units at USC. The GSSC endeavors to foster open communication, and to create a genuine partnership with all individuals who facilitate graduate student degree progress.
The objectives of the Graduate Student Services Collaborative are:
- To provide a venue for sharing information from different university units and updates on changes in policy;
- To create a problem-solving exchange among graduate administrators and between The Graduate School and graduate administrators;
- To broker communication between university graduate student services and graduate administrators; and
- To increase awareness of issues related to student life (e.g., counseling, student health services).
During bi-monthly GSSC meetings, graduate administrators network with colleagues and discuss issues concerning graduate student academics and graduate student life. The director of an academic unit shares information about the unit and how the unit's policies and services are addressing graduate student issues.
