CLASS PREPARATION AND ASSIGNMENTS:
You are expected to come to class and the lab prepared. You will
be given assignments periodically throughout the semester. A substan
tial portion of your final evaluation will be based on participation
and assignments. All assignments should be prepared individually
unless they are specifically designated as group assignments. Your

your Instructors do not condone and will not tolerate cheating or

COMPUTER LAB:
The lab assignments require extensive use of a microcomputer
(PC), and the lab is not designed to teach you how to use a PC. For
this reason, IS 50 or its equivalent is a prerequisite to the course.
You are expected to be familiar with the general operations of a PC
and with spreadsheet software (LOTUS 1-2-3 or QUATTRO).
EVALUATION:
Throughout the semester, you have the opportunity to earn up to
500 points: 100 points each for three exams and another 200 points
for the assignments listed above. Your final evaluation will be based
as follows:
