About USC College
USC College of Letters, Arts & Sciences Mudd Hall Interior
Academics

USC College of Letters, Arts & Sciences combines the intimacy of a liberal arts school, including smaller classes and close working relationships with faculty, with the vast spectrum of a research institution where new ideas, inventions and research are explored by internationally known scholars.

Undergraduate Studies
The College offers nearly 80 majors and more than 50 minors in the humanities, the natural sciences and the social sciences, leading to bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees. Its academic programs provide both breadth and depth. The breadth is evident in the general education program and in the electives; the depth is provided by the specializations found in departmental majors, interdisciplinary majors, and special programs and minors. The College also administers the general education requirements that all USC undergraduates must take. These core courses are taught by full-time faculty.
