The Center for Religion and Civic Culture maintains an archive of photographs by Jerry Berndt. Over the course of more than a decade of partnership, Berndt has taken thousands of photographs exploring the theme of religion in Los Angeles and five other cities. Part of this collection is a traveling exhibit, "The Soul of Los Angeles: Portraits of Faith, Hope and Social Transformation." In early 2004, Berndt traveled with Donald Miller to Kigali, Rwanda to chronicle the lives of survivors of the genocide. We have created an exhibit, ""The Rwanda Genocide: Portraits of Survival and Hope” " with the support of Howard and Roberta Ahmanson.
