
Although religiously-affiliated agencies have served the poor for more than two centuries, during the past decade federal, state, and local support for these programs has dramatically expanded. Public and faith community leaders have had to depend heavily on the Internet for the information they need to develop Constitutionally-sensitive human services in this new, still-controversial environment.
CRCC has a long history of providing resources for faith-based and public agencies that cooperatively provide human services in low income neighborhoods. This commitment has been consistent with priorities adopted by the University of Southern California--priorities that express the University's desire to apply research to the informational needs of individuals and programs that serve the common good.
