I completed my BA in Studio Art in 1999 and MLIS in 2005. Before joining the USC history department in fall 2006, I worked on the Early California Population Project, a database developed by the Huntington Library, documenting the information contained in the California mission registers from 1769 - 1850. I am currently exploring European and Native conceptions of medicine and burial practices in early California. Other research areas include colonial Latin American history and environmental issues in the American West. Questions about my research and the USC history program are welcomed.
