My dissertation, tentatively titled “The Culture of National Mobilization in Wartime Japan,” looks at the intersection between war mobilization and mass culture in Japan during the 1930s and early 1940s. I received a B.A. in history and political science from UC Davis and an A.M. in Regional Studies – East Asia from Harvard University.
