I am a first year student in American history, focusing on the 19th century. I grew up in Palo Alto, California, and graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a B.A. in history in 2005. A long-time collector of dictionaries, I wrote my senior honors thesis on Samuel Johnson, Noah Webster, and post-Revolutionary American culture. My love of museums and libraries eventually led me to Brown, where I received an A.M. in Public Humanities. At USC, I hope to continue to pursue my interests in print culture, memory and commemoration, and public history. |
