I grew up at the base of Pikes Peak and graduated in 2006 from Colorado College with a BA in Classics, History and Politics. My undergraduate thesis explored the themes in the historiography of the beguines. Fall 2008 is my first semester in the USC PhD program where I intend to study the women and gender in the Later Middle Ages. I am particularly interested in medieval gynecology, women’s role in the rise of the vernacular and female mysticism. Outside of the program, I am an avid documentary watcher and enjoy the many facets of vegetarian cooking. Questions about USC and the History program are warmly welcomed.
