I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated from Tufts University in 2006 where I majored in history. I am in my second year at USC and my primary area of study is 20th century United States history. I am particularly interested in issues of race, ethnicity, space, and politics in America's urban centers. After living in Los Angeles for over a year, I have become interested in questions of multi-racial relations, politics, organizing, and coalition building. Over the past year, my research has focused on African American and Mexican American struggles for equal housing and employment opportunities in Los Angeles during the 1960s and 1970s. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions about my interests or the USC graduate program in history. |
