How do I apply for financial aid?
As with all leading private universities, tuition costs at USC, which are the same for residents and nonresidents alike, are higher than at public universities. However, thanks to generous alumni and with financial awards based on student need and academic achievement, significant financial aid is available. Also, more financial aid is available to students in private schools than in public schools.

Apply for financial aid as soon as possible without waiting until you have been accepted into the program. Each year the department awards numerous teaching assistantships and sizable merit based scholarships. We encourage you to contact our department and request the Financial Resources packet, which has all the information you need to apply for financial aid, teaching assistantships, and merit based awards.

What are the benefits of living in L.A.?
From the solitude of beaches at sunset to the village atmosphere of historic Old Town in Pasadena and the numerous distinctive ethnic neighborhoods in between, you'll find many enriching activities to enjoy in Los Angeles: sporting and cultural events, trips to the mountains for skiing or backpacking, visits to the many night clubs, restaurants, and amusement parks, as well as scuba diving, swimming, snorkeling, horseback riding, ocean sailing, and reading outside in mild temperatures under sunny skies.

In LA, local produce is sold year round at farmer's markets, festivals are frequent, Hollywood's premieres create a buzz, and diverse publications and organizations make the news lively in this celebrated port city. Moreover, as an occupational therapy or occupational science student you will find a local network of today's most distinguished leaders in national and global health care, community development, and education.

How do I apply?
To receive an application package for the specific program of interest to you, it is best to contact our department directly. Each program requires its own application procedure be followed very closely. The package will be mailed out upon receipt of your request and will include application deadlines, procedures, and all of the very important information you need to apply to USC. Where do I live?
The USC Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy programs offer both on-and-off-campus housing.

On-campus there is the one-of-a-kind Occupational Therapy House located within Centennial Apartments, a USC special interest housing facility. This residence offers occupational therapy students the opportunity to live together in a supportive academic and social environment in close proximity to USC's University Park Campus and easy shuttle service to the Health Sciences Campus.

Students considering residency at the OT House should consult the "Living at USC" brochure that is sent to all applicants upon admission to the University or contact the department directly.

Students who elect to live off-campus reside in many neighborhoods within LA County. Rent varies widely, ranging from $400 to $1200 per month depending upon location, features, and whether or not you share costs with another person.
