U.S. Secretary of Energy announces $9 million artificial retina grant to USC
U.S. Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham visited the USC Health Sciences Campus on November 25 to announce a $9 million grant towards the creation of an artificial retina to restore vision to people blinded by degenerative retinal diseases. Included in that money, Abraham said, is support to build a new Department of Energy (DOE) artificial retina laboratory at the Doheny Eye Institute. Full Story
