The Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship

The Division of Cardiac Anesthesia offers a one year ACGME approved fellowship in adult cardiac anesthesia. This fellowship offers training in all aspects of adult CT anesthesia including: heart and lung transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, minimally invasive techniques, and ICU management. Extensive experience in transesophageal echocardiography is provided. The fellowship is located at USC University Hospital and the LAC/USC Medical Center.

Candidates should be eligible for a California medical license and have completed an ACGME approved residency (or the equivalent) in anesthesiology. Interested individuals should contact Steven Haddy, MD, Program Director (haddy@usc.edu or call 323 226-4597).

The Pain Fellowship

The Division of Pain Management in the USC Department of Anesthesiology provides ACGME approved fellowship training in pain management for eligible physicians. This one year program provides training in acute and chronic pain management, interventional pain management, and palliative medicine.

Fellows will have the extraordinary opportunity for multispecialty and multidisciplinary training with the pain specialists of the USC Keck School of Medicine. The clinical training programs are located at the USC University Hospital, the USC/Norris Cancer Center, the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center, Los Angeles Childrens Hosptial, and the USC Pain Center.

Information for Pain Fellowship candidates
Candidates must:

1. Be eligible for a California medical license.
2. Have completed an ACGME approved residency in anesthesiology, physiatry, neurology, or psychiatry.
