APPLICANTS

LAC+USC Dermatology Residency is a PGY 2-4 program which participates in the advanced match. Therefore, applications are received in the beginning of September, for the year beginning after internship. The deadline for all completed applications is November 15. Interviews are conducted in January of each year. Application to the residency program is through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).
Interested candidates should submit the following materials via ERAS:

• A completed application form.
• Curriculum vitae.
• A recent personal photograph
• Personal statement
• Minimum two letters of recommendation
• Dean’s letter
• Department of Medical Education (DME) letter if you have already completed an internship.
• USMLE scores (Part I required, Part II optional).

Selection Procedure

Completed applications are screened by a Committee of Faculty Members and Senior Residents in the Department of Dermatology. Interviews are by appointment only. After the interviewing process is completed, the Committee submits a Rank Order List which is then submitted to the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
