DIDACTIC LEARNING

Three half-days per week are reserved for didactic learning. All didactics sessions are taught by faculty, and they take place in the dermatology residents’ conference room at LAC+USC Medical Center. On a weekly basis, general dermatology textbook chapter reviews are taught by Dr. David Peng, pathology didactic sessions are led by Dr. Manjunath Vadmal, basic science is taught by Dr. David Woodley, and pharmacology is taught by Dr. David Sawcer. In addition, Dr. Sawcer gives the residents lectures about coding on a monthly basis. Surgical didactics are taught by Drs. Han Lee, Vincent Hung, and Richard Bennett. Lastly, emeritus professor Dr. John Crissey gives talks on mycology and parasites every month.
