EXTRACURRICULAR

Conferences

Every year, all residents attend the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting, a week-long event held in February. Additionally, all residents attend the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery Annual Meeting in Las Vegas in November. The residents are also encouraged to participate in other regional and national dermatology conferences. Residents are permitted to go to any other conference at which he or she is a presenter.

This year's AAD Conference was held in San Antonio, Texas. Some of the residents presented interesting cases and research, all of them learned a great deal, and everyone still found time to have a little fun!

Camp Wonder

Each year, every resident has the opportunity to attend Camp Wonder, a medically staffed summer camp for children with skin diseases. Camp Wonder is an amazing opportunity where children with chronic skin diseases have the opportunity to build self-esteem, camaraderie, and long-lasting friendships while participating in physical activities.
