| The Department of Dermatology is well-recognized for the provision of outstanding care to Los Angeles County patients at a variety of venues: Roybal Comprehensive Health Center, Hudson Comprehensive Health Center, the Pediatric Dermatology Clinic at LAC+USC Medical Center, Hansen’s Disease Clinic, and HIV/AIDS Dermatology Clinic at LAC+USC Medical Center. The Department is also responsible for the provision of dermatology care to patients at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. The dermatology residency training program is well recognized for its excellence in clinical training.
In the summer of 2008 our program was given a status of full accreditation for the next five years with commendation by the Residency Review Committee for Dermatology. This is the maximum amount of time the ACGME is authorized to grant accreditation for and reflects upon the many strengths of the program.
The Department remains committed to enhancing its excellence in clinical care and teaching while developing a vital and growing research program. In addition to providing outstanding patient care, our Department also provides a broadly based educational experience in clinical dermatology for medical students and for residents in other specialties at the LAC+USC Medical Center.

» With great sadness the USC Dermatology Department announces the passing of Dr John Crissey. As a tribute to Dr. Crissey, the annual Outstanding Teaching Award for Medical Dermatology in the USC Department of Dermatology will be formally renamed The John T. Crissey, MD Award for Outstanding Teaching in Medical Dermatology.
