Covering California’s Kids Evaluation. Examines
the impact of county-based health insurance programs, known
as Healthy Kids, on access, quality, and outcomes for enrollees.

The Los Angeles Healthy Kids Program Evaluation.
Study of outreach and enrollment practices for the LA network
of Healthy Kids Programs. Funded by the Los Angeles
First 5 Commission, subcontractor to the Urban Institute.
Four Year Study
Healthy Kids Statewide Survey. Provides statewide
estimates of the impact of Healthy Kids on children's health,
well-being, and quality of life, and is designed to provide
funders and policy-makers with more detailed information on
the health impacts of such programs. Funded by California
Children & Families and The California
Endowment & California. Two Year Study
Health Consumer Alliance Evaluation Phase III. Measures
the impact of a statewide partnership of community-based consumer
assistance programs on statewide health policy, statewide
capacity building and local project impact on consumers and
programs. Funded by The California Endowment.
One Year Study
State Health Access Reform Evaluation. Assesses
the effectiveness of innovative strategies to identify and
enroll eligible, uninsured children into public health insurance
programs. Funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Two Year Study
Alameda Health Care Quality Assessment. Analyzes
retention of members in an Alameda health plan, and monitors
quality of coverage and patterns of healthcare utilization
including use of preventive services versus more expensive
secondary and tertiary services. Funded by the Alameda
Alliance for Health. On Going Study
Medical Home Effects on Asthma Hospitalizations. Assesses the impact of a quality medical home on outcomes
for children with asthma, including hospitalizations, emergency
department visits, and family burdens. Funded by the US Health Resources and Services Administration.
One Year Study
Specialty Care Access Project. Examines effects
of specialty care provider training on improvements in quality
of care and access to cardiac and rheumatologic specialty
care services for low income populations served by L.A. County
community clinics. Funded by The California HealthCare
Foundation. One Year Study
Office of the Patient Advocate HMO Help Center Assessment.
An assessment to determine how callers learn of the HMO Help
Center in order to support its outreach efforts and explain
a recent drop in consumer calls for help with HMO problems.
