Health Services (DHS) Governance
Many communities have established alternative structures
or have completely privatized their health servicesprograms.
The objective of this study was to identify improved governance
structures for the Los Angeles County Department of Health
Services. Investigators studied cost efficiency, system delivery
and quality of care, and improved revenue of governance models
in light of organizational and financing problems faced by
Los Angeles County.
