Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center (PAETC) at the
Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California
provides HIV and AIDS education and training to healthcare
professionals. Education and training programs are designed
to keep busy providers up-to-date with the latest in HIV/AIDS
treatment.
Mission
- To provide health care professionals with the knowledge
and skills necessary to care for HIV-infected patients in
underserved and vulnerable populations
- To increase the numbers of trained health care professionals
caring for patients living with HIV
- To give health care professionals the skills to educate
and counsel their patients to prevent the transmission of
HIV
- To respond to the needs of emerging populations and the
changing face of the epidemic

Clinical Consultation Training
Working with providers to increase clinical
competence through intensive on-site consultation training
and through telephone consultation with providers.
Skill Building Workshops and Lectures
Building knowledge and skills through presentations especially
designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners,
and nurses presented at your site or clinic. Examples of topics
