Dental Steering Committee
The Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center Dental Steering
Committee is composed of representatives of the local Pacific
AETC performance sites throughout California, Arizona, Hawaii,
and Nevada as well as leaders in the dental community.
The Dental Steering Committee meets twice a year: in the
Spring at USC School of Dentistry and in the fall at the PAETC
Annual Faculty Development Workshop at the Asilomar Conference
Grounds in Pacific Grove, California. Dr. Roseann Mulligan,
Director of the Pacific Oral Health Program, chairs the Committee.
Dr. Mulligan is Professor and the Associate Dean for Community
Health Programs at USC School of Dentistry.
The Dental Steering Committee has had an historic role in
the development and provision of AETC dental clinical training
and assistance to the dental community through clinical training,
lectures, seminars, and consultations to private practitioners
and to dental societies, clinics, and other dental organizations
and associations.
In addition to advising on educational programs, the Committee
speaks out on HIV-related policy issues pertaining to Dentistry,
both region-wide and on the national level.
