Division of Research, Evaluation and Grants

Mission Statement

The Division of Research, Evaluation and Grants develops and supports research for and by Department of Family Medicine faculty and residents in specified priority areas. The overarching purpose of research supported by the Division is to improve health outcomes for underserved and vulnerable populations; to improve methods of medical education; and to position the Department as a national leader in research of importance to family medicine and primary care in general.

The mission of the Grants Development and Management Section is to assist Department faculty to obtain training, service and research grants from federal, state and private funding sources, and to oversee management of grants by the Department.
