The faculty members of the Department of Family Medicine conduct research programs that are consistently increasing medical awareness and knowledge in several areas, including: Rural and Urban Health Systems, Geriatrics, and Alternative Medicine. The department also promotes the health of communities and has been extremely successful in obtaining research grants from both state and private funding, allowing the Keck School to heighten its level of primary care.
