A primary goal of the Division of Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases at the Los Angeles County+University of Southern California Medical Center is to provide Fellows with a well rounded, stimulating training environment which strongly supports academic career development. Our program emphasizes the pursuit of new scientific advancements in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology, and offers an outstanding opportunity to participate in a variety of ongoing basic science laboratory projects and clinical research protocols. Individual research interests are also enthusiastically supported.

The USC GI/Liver Fellowship Program is also committed to providing excellent clinical training in consultative gastroenterology and hepatology, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Fellows obtain an impressive clinical experience through active participation and management of a variety of routine as well as complex GI and Liver cases.

We feel these aspects of our Program provide a strong, well balanced combination of research and clinical training, which offers Fellows an outstanding and exciting training opportunity for career development in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
