William B. Schwartz, M.D.
Professor of Research Medicine, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
Investigator Award in Health Policy Research
Dr. Schwartz’s research examines the impact of molecular
medicine on health care and on society between 2000 and 2050.
He is readying a new publication which will further comment
on health care delivery in the 21st century which began with
his book “Life Without Disease: The Pursuit of Medical
Utopia” (University of California Press, 1998). In this
discussion, he will relate his expertise in the broad field
of health economics to the latest and anticipated advances
in biotechnology. Dr. Schwartz continues to be well supported
by the National Institutes of Health National Library of Medicine.
