About the Division
Department of
Obstetrics & Gynecology

The Division of Gynecology's main function is to train residents in the clinical and surgical areas of benign gynecology. Additionally, during the required departmental clerkship (Year III), medical students are taught the basic fundamentals of our specialty in both clinical and didactic sessions. An ABOG-approved Fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reproductive Surgery (formerly Urogynecology) is available. A diverse, talented faculty instructs and supervises in the following areas:

  • Advanced Endoscopy: laparoscopy, hysteroscopy
  • Endometriosis
  • Adnexal Pathology, including ovarian neoplasms
  • Pelvic Infections, lower and upper tracts
  • Myomata Uteri
  • Urinary Incontinence, diagnosis and therapy
  • Pelvic Floor Disorders: diagnosis and correction
  • Sexuality: normal and dysfunctional
  • Breast: evaluation and therapy
  • Pre-and Postoperative Care
