Ramen Chmait, MD is Visiting Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Southern California and Director of Fetal Therapy within the CHLA-USC Institute for Maternal-Fetal Health at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Chmait received his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1996. He completed his Internship and Residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, and Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. After Fellowship, Dr. Chmait joined the Fetal Surgery Program at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida, where he gained extensive experience in operative fetoscopy and invasive perinatology. T. Murphy Goodwin, MD is Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Chief of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Southern California and Co-Director of the Institute for Maternal and Fetal Health. Dr. Goodwin is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 1983. From 1983 to 1987, he completed both his Internship and Residency in the Phoenix Integrated Residency Program. He remained on faculty with an appointment at the University of Arizona from 1987 to 1989. Dr. Goodwin continued his training as a Fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from 1989 to 1991 at the University of Southern California. Thereafter he joined the Division of Maternal Fetal-Medicine at USC. He has served as President of the Los Angeles Obstetrical & Gynecological Society, and Program Chair of the Obstetrical & Gynecological Assembly of Southern California. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the North American Society of Obstetric Medicine.

Marc Incerpi, MD is Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Southern California. Dr. Incerpi is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He received his medical degree from Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 1992. From 1992 to 1996 he trained as a Resident in Ob/Gyn at the University of Southern California. Dr. Incerpi continued his training as a Fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from 1996 to 1998 at the University of Southern California. He joined the Division of Maternal Fetal-Medicine at USC in 1998. He is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and the Los Angeles Obstetrical & Gynecological Society.

Bruce W. Kovacs, MD is Associate Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pathology at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Kovacs has advanced training and certification in both Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Genetics. He has been board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as in Clinical Molecular Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics. He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California in 1979 and completed Internship and Residency at LAC+USC Women’s & Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. He completed his subspecialty training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at LAC+USC Women’s Hospital and additional training in Human Genetics at the City of Hope / Beckman Research Institute in Duarte California. He has served as an advisor and consultant for several national and state organizations involved in establishing policy and clinical protocols for human genetic testing and clinical research focused on maternal and fetal health. He is the co-director of the Prenatal Diagnostic Center at LAC+USC Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Dr Kovacs is a member of several national professional organizations including the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, American Society of Human Genetics, American Institute of Ultrasound In Medicine and the California Medical Association.

Richard Lee, MD is board certified in both Maternal Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a major in molecular and cell biology and a minor in peace and conflict studies.  His medical doctorate was obtained at New York Medical College. His post graduate training was performed at the University of Southern California  Dr. Lee is a member of the American College of Obstetrician Gynecologists, Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and Society for Gynecologic Investigation.  He is also a working member of the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative Hemorrhage Task Force, which is actively trying to reduce the overall maternal death rate in California from bleeding complications at the time of delivery.   Dr. Lee is certified by the Fetal Medicine Foundation and the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review program to provide first trimester screening for Down Syndrome and Trisomy 18.  He has been awarded the American Medical Association and American College of Obstetrician Gynecologists Physician Recognition Award, Patients’ Choice Award, Ted Adams Scholarship Award, the Daniel R. Mishell Jr., M.D., Teaching Award, and the U.S.C. Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Outstanding Fellow Award.

James A. McGregor, MDCM is Visiting Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1966 then went on to his medical training at McGill University in Montreal, Canada from 1966 to 1970. Dr. McGregor completed Internship at Harbor General Hospital in Torrance, California in 1971, and Residency at the University of California Los Angeles and LAC+USC Women's & Children's Hospital from 1972 to 1975. He continued his training as a Fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine from 1978 to 1981. From 1977 to 2000, he was Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where he was granted Tenure in 1983. Dr. McGregor has a special interest in infectious diseases and maximizing global obstetric outcomes. He joined the USC Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in 2004.

David A. Miller, MD is Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology for the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and the USC Medical Director of the Institute for Maternal and Fetal Health. Dr. Miller is also the Director of the USC OB-GYN Residency Program at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, Director of Perinatal Services for the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center and partner in the USC Perinatal Group. He is board-certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas in 1988 and completed his Internship and Residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Vanderbilt University in 1992. He continued his training as a Fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the LAC + USC Medical Center in Los Angeles from 1992 to 1994. Dr. Miller joined the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the USC Perinatal Group in 1994.

Martin N. Montoro, MD is Professor of Clinical Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Southern California. Dr. Montoro is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Madrid School of Medicine in Spain in 1968. He completed his Internship at Wayne State University, and his Residency and Fellowship in 1977 and 1979 respectively at the Hospital of the Good Samaritan and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He joined the Division of Maternal Fetal-Medicine at USC upon the completion of his Fellowship in 1979. Dr. Montoro is co-director of the Diabetes and Pregnancy Service and Consultant for Endocrine and other Medical Complications of Pregnancy at Women’s Hospital, LAC+USC Medical Center.

Patrick M. Mullin, MD, MPH is Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology for the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and fellowship-trained in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Mullin received his Master’s Degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of California at Berkeley. He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California in 1995 and completed his Internship and Residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at LAC + USC Medical Center in Los Angeles from 1995 to 1999. He continued with subspecialty training as a Fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the LAC + USC Medical Center. Dr. Mullin is a member of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Joseph Ouzounian, MD is Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.  He received his MD degree from USC.  He also completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at USC.  Dr. Ouzounian is Board-Certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.  At USC, Dr. Ouzounian is actively involved in research, teaching, and clinical practice.  He has published over 35 research papers in scholarly medical journals and lectures frequently on topics in obstetrics.  As a member of the USC Perinatal Group, Dr. Ouzounian provides patients prenatal diagnosis, first trimester screening, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), obstetric ultrasound, and consultative management of high-risk pregnancies.  Dr. Ouzounian is a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the American College of Obsetricians and Gynecologists, and the Pacific Coast Obstetrical and Gynecological Society.  He can be contacted at jouzouni@usc.edu.

Carolina Reyes, MD is the Executive Director of the Los Angeles Best Babies Collaborative (LABBC) Center for Healthy Births, a coordinating Center for the Healthy Births Initiative, funded by First 5 LA, dedicated to improving pregnancy and birth outcomes. Dr. Reyes is nationally recognized for her professional and personal commitment to improving the health and well-being of pregnant women, improving health care quality and reducing racial/ethnic disparities in care. Dr. Reyes is a Visiting Associate Professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She is a former scholar with the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Dr. Reyes was formerly the Vice President for Evaluation and Planning at The California Endowment. Her leadership role is recognized by her appointments to the Board of Directors of the California Community Foundation, California Hospital Medical Center Community Board, and the Alliance for a Better Community. She also serves on the Board of the California March of Dimes Program Committee and was recently appointed to the State of California Dept of Health Black-Infant Health Program Advisory Board.

Giuliana S. Songster, MD is Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology, Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. Dr. Songster is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and Medical Genetics. She received her medical degree from the University of Utah College of Medicine in 1980. She completed her Internship and Residency at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center as well as her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She was Assistant Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Washington University School of Medicine from 1986-1990 and Assistant Professor of Gynecology & Obstetrics at Stanford University Medical Center from 1990 to 1994. She completed her fellowship in Medical Genetics at Stanford University Medical Center in 1993. Dr. Songster joined the faculty of the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1994. Dr. Songster is the Medical Director of the Prenatal Genetics Clinic at LAC + USC Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the Medical Director of the LAC + USC Prenatal Diagnosis Center.

Alice Stek, MD is Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Southern California. Dr. Stek is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. She received her medical degree from the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands, in December 1985. In 1991 she completed her Residency at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Stek continued her training as a Fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from 1991 to 1993 at the University of Cincinnati. She joined the Division of Maternal Fetal-Medicine at USC in 1993. She participates in several national HIV clinical research networks and is Director of Perinatal Services at the Maternal-Child Adolescent HIV Program at LAC+USC.
