Lisa M. Korst, MD, PhD is Associate Professor of Research in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Southern California. She received her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego in 1983. From 1983 to 1987, she completed her Internship and Residency at LAC+USC Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Dr. Korst continued her training at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention based in San Juan, Puerto Rico from 1991 to 1993, and completed her PhD in Health Services at the School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1999. She joined the Division of Maternal Fetal-Medicine at USC in 2005.

Larisa V. Yedigarova, MD, PhD is Visiting Assistant Professor of Research in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Southern California. Dr. Yedigarova received her medical degree from the Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia in 1983. From 1983 to 1984 she completed Internship in Internal Medicine at her alma mater. In 1989 she joined the Department of Pharmacology faculty at the Yerevan State Medical University. In 1994 Dr. Yedigarova completed her PhD dissertation “The influence of GABA-ergic remedies on the platelet function and phospholipids spectrum of the brain tissue in hypokinesia and cerebral ischemia conditions” at the Roston-on-Don State Medical University in Russia. In 2001 she moved to the United States with her family. In 2003 Dr. Yedigarova was granted the Status of Alien of Extraordinary Ability by the United States Immigration authorities. She joined the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at USC in February 2005 to continue her research career in an academic institution.

Seung Kwon Koh, MD, PhD is a Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Southern California. Dr Koh received his medical degree from Hanyang University, College of Medicine, Korea in 1984. From 1984 to 1988 he completed Internship and Residency at Hallym University Hospital, Korea. He is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology by the Korean Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. In 1991 he received his Master’s Degree at at Hanyang University Graduate School, College of Medicine, Korea. In 1995 Dr. Koh completed his PhD dissertation “Nomogram of Baseline Fetal Heart Rate according to Gestational Age” there. In 1991 Dr Koh joined the faculty of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Inha University, Korea. He was Instructor of Obstetrics & Gynecology from 1993-1995, Assistant Professor from 1996-1999 and Associate Professor from 1999 to 2005. He has also served as the Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Inha University Hospital from 2004- 2005. In August 2005 he moved to the United States and joined the MFM division at the University of Southern California. He is working primarily on a research project about molecular epidemiology of preeclampsia and prenatal education.

Borzou Poursharif, MD is a Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Southern California. Dr Poursharif graduated from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2003. In September 2005 he moved to the United States and joined the MFM division at the University of Southern California. He is working primarily on a research project about physiological parameters that play a role in hyperemesis gravidarum of pregnancy.

Lorena Gonzalez is a Project Coordinator in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Southern California since June of 2004. She has worked on various studies in women’s health while working for Health Research Association in the contraception research clinic at Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Currently she is the project coordinator for an NIH-funded study for Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy.

Melissa L. Wilson, MPH, PhD is Visiting Assistant Professor of Research in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Southern California. She received her Baccalaureate degree in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh, her MPH degree in Epidemiology from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1994, and her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Southern California in 2004. After completing her postdoctoral research at USC, she joined the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at USC in March, 2006. Dr. Wilson's research interests include the molecular epidemiology of preeclampsia and HELLP Syndrome, the genetics of nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, subsequent effects of in utero exposure to nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, the effects of air pollution on obstetric outcomes and post-partum depression.

Frank Mancillas is Administrative Assistant to the MFM Division Chief (Dr. T Murphy Goodwin, MD) in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Mr. Mancillas joined the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in 1998.

Andrea Magaña is Administrative Assistant in the MFM Division of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Ms. Magaña joined the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine in 2005.
