The
Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine is one of the leading
research and practice groups in the country. Many of the most
widely accepted protocols for fetal and maternal care throughout
the country originated at USC. From its teaching and research
base at Women's and Children's Hospital, the division has
expanded to nine other sites in Los Angeles, Hollywood, Pasadena,
Glendale, Burbank, Whittier and Santa Clarita.
Recently, the division has
combined with the staff of Children's Hospital Los Angeles
to develop a joint center for prenatal diagnosis and maternal
and fetal care, The Institute
for Maternal Fetal Health. All of the sites offer prenatal
diagnosis and consultation. Complete obstetric care is offered
at California Hospital Medical Center and at Hollywood Presbyterian
Medical Center, adjacent to CHLA.
