Residents are selected for training by interview only and are limited to the following:

1. Graduates who will have an M.D. or D.O. from an approved medical school in the United States or Canada, who either possess or are in the process of obtaining licensure in the State of California.
2. Graduates with a degree of M.D. from a foreign medical school, who are licensed to practice in the State of California.
3. Completion of approved internship (PPG-1) prior to beginning of the residency program.

Complete applications, including transcript, personal statement and/or C.V., and at least three letters of recommendation should be forwarded to this office no later than October 1, 2002 for residency positions beginning July 1, 2004. (We expect the Dean's letter as soon as possible after the November 1, 2002 date of the AAMC.) A photograph is recommended, but optional.
