The USC Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is committed to providing excellence in education and training to our medical students, resident physicians and fellows.
As part of our commitment to providing excellence in education to our physicians, Grand Rounds are held weekly on Friday mornings throughout the year (September to June), featuring current concepts and techniques with a basic science background. The lecture series provides a well-balanced look at the spectrum of orthopaedic specialties with lectures from visiting professors of national prominence as well as local experts, including Keck School of Medicine faculty. The conference consists of two 45-minute lectures on both basic science and clinical topics.
In addition, our Visiting Professor Lecture Series brings five distinguished national guest speakers in the fields of sports medicine, hand surgery, pediatric orthopaedics, and other specialized fields to enrich our educational program. Each speaker provides two to three presentations in their area of expertise. Each lecture honors significant contributors to our orthopaedic program and the orthopaedic community.
