MENTAL HEALTH
MCA Center Mental Health program aims to provide psychiatric, psychological, and psychosocial interventions to promote and maintain our patients’ physical and psychological well being. The mental health team serves as a necessary resource for MCA Center patients, addressing issues such as patient quality of life, STI prevention and education, treatment adherence, and psychosocial obstacles to effective medical care. In addition, MCA mental health staff has initiated and developed ongoing behavioral, intervention, and prevention research programs focused on addressing these issues.
Our interdisciplinary mental health team consists of a variety of specialists who provide services specific to our patient population, including individual case management, psychosocial therapy, and referrals to additional community resources. Our specific mental health services include:
Psychiatry

- Participation in Therapeutic Drug Monitoring clinic
- Interfacing between mental health team and primary care physicians

- Psychosocial Assessment
