Description of fellowship:
The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at CHLA is an ACGME accredited program
for the practice of Emergency Medicine in children. We provide a diverse clinical
experience, as one of the major providers of both primary and tertiary care for the
children of Los Angeles. In addition, CHLA is a major teaching hospital for a variety
of different pediatric specialties and subspecialties. CHLA is also the only American
College of Surgeons accredited Pediatric Trauma Center in Los Angeles. The patient
volume in the Emergency Department averages 60,000 per year in our free-standing
