Assistant Professor of Clinical Dr. Uypitching attended University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center where she earned her M.D. in 2001. She also did a rotating internship at ERMMMC working with an underserved population and supervising fourth-year medical students. She volunteered for a non-profit organization that served children and families living in urban dump sites. She moved to the U.S. and completed a preliminary internal medicine residency internship at UCSF, Fresno in 2005. She then transferred to our USC-California Hospital Family Medicine Residency program and graduated in 2008. As a resident, she was played an active role in planning and coordinating residency retreats and published a clinical paper in Family Medicine. She joined our faculty immediately after her graduation and has been active in the didactic lecture series as well as supervising in the inpatient family medicine service and percepting in the Family Health Center. She also has interests in Womens Health, providing teaching in prenatal care, GYN, and Ultrasound procedures. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and scuba diving in exotic locations.
