Preparatory Education Program

The Preparatory Education Program (PEP) is designed to enhance the mission of the USC Primary Care PA Program by strengthening the application of prospective candidates who have educationally or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. While all applicants to the Program can receive admission advisement including transcript evaluation and information on all aspects of the admission process as well as the curriculum of the USC Primary Care PA Program, PEP provides additional and ongoing assistance for applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • Student is from an educationally or economically disadvantaged background
  • Student plans to pursue a career as a physician assistant and plans to apply to USC
  • Student is enrolled in a two or four-year college or university
  • Student is from a community and/or population that is designated as underserved by state or federal guidelines.

Complete and submit the PEP Application form to be considered for the program.
