Financial Aid

divider

All students who enter the program are provided with full financial support, mostly from the Keck School of Medicine and the department. Primarily that support is in the form of research or teaching assistantships. Students with these awards are expected to devote 20 hours per week to assigned research or teaching responsibilities in exchange for receiving tuition remission as well as a monthly stipend. Also available to selected students are university fellowships, and participation in the Institute's training program in cancer control which is funded by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). All these sources of support provide a tuition waiver and a monthly stipend.

Occasionally students have had need for supplemental financial support. Information on financial aid loans can be found at http://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/. For information on fellowships as well as other types of awards available to graduate students, go to the Graduate School's website: http://www.usc.edu/schools/GraduateSchool/current_fellowships.html
