Technical Report

The Technical Report (TR) series was created as a way for Biostatistics faculty to refer to and distribute written material. For the most part, TRs are meant for unrestricted distribution. The series includes submitted manuscripts, material supplementary to published papers, computer program documentation, text from grant proposals, and class notes.

If the report was later published in a journal, this will usually supersede the TR. In this case, the TR is listed with the citation, indicating where it was eventually published. If that TR is requested, a reprint will be provided. In some cases the report authors feel that the TR provides additional details or is enough different that it is useful to continue to make them available. This is noted in the description of the TR.

The Technical Report Series was made available online in December 1998. The intention is to have a minimum of one abstract for each TR accessible online and to have many TRs directly available for download.

Any listed TR (or the reprint of a resulting paper) can be requested using the TR request form.
