Master of Science Programs
Graduates of the departments Masters programs are prepared for careers as project managers or data analysts/programmers in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, government agencies, research institutions, hospitals, and research settings in healthcare systems. The M.S. programs prepare students for the Screening Examinations for their respective Ph.D. programs.

M.S. in Biostatistics
The Master of Science in Biostatistics training program focuses on the theory and practice of biostatistics, data analysis, statistical methods for epidemiologic studies and human genetics, clinical trial design, biomedical informatics and advanced statistical computing methods.
M.S. in Applied Biostatistics/Epidemiology
The Master of Science program in applied biostatistics and epidemiology offers graduate training in biostatistics, epidemiological research methods and biostatistics research applications to cancer, infectious disease, chronic disease, and environmental epidemiology. Epidemiological methods are taught from a practical, "hands-on" perspective. The program is a joint effort of the Division of Biostatistics and the Division of Epidemiology & Molecular Biology.

M.S. in Molecular Epidemiology
The molecular epidemiology program combines molecular approaches with population-based research methods, providing students with laboratory, statistical and analytical research skills in both fields. The Division of Biostatistics administers the program in partnership with the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
