Annual Salaries
Effective 7/1/2008

  • GY-1 $42,676.32
  • GY-2 $47,744.64
  • GY-3 $51,732.12
  • GY-4 $55,746.96
  • Total $197,900.04

The sum of our salaries for the four years in the psychiatry program is highly competitive with that of other programs. Also, for those interested in additional income, intra-departmental moonlighting is permitted in our Psychiatric ER. To moonlight, one must be a US citizen or have permanent visa status, obtain a California Medical license, complete the ER rotation, have satisfactory clinical and academic performance and receive approval by the ER Division Chief and Program Director. Residents are employees of the County of Los Angeles.
